I keep promising myself to update this site but I never do. Since the last update, I have: - Gone up the coast to Agnes Water and 1770.
- Celebrated NYE at a Classical Music concert.
- Been on a road trip with my family down to the New South Wales for a day.
- Watched too much Foxtel TV... the channels I watch are very educational/ entertaining though.
- Discovered that a baby turkey is living in my garden.
- Found out that the only way to prevent oneself from crying whilst chopping onions is to chew two wads of extra-strong peppermint gum, not just one.
- Eaten two legs of Christmas ham.
New Years' Resolutions: - Be smarter in spending/ looking after my money.
- To buff and moisturize the bottom of my feet and look after my nails more often.
- Continue jogging frequently.
- Binge less.
- Get a job making coffee (if I pass that coffee course next week)/ teaching piano/ flute.
- Study for that grade 6 musicianship exam I have to do before my licentiateship (sp?!) piano exam... chances are, I'll be stuck in a music theory class with a bunch of 11-year-olds who will score higher than me when it comes to the real thing.
- To work hard at uni.
- TO VISIT HONG KONG.
Pictures: Agnes Water and 1770 (16th-23rd December) 1770 is presumably where Captain Cook first landed when he "discovered" Australia. However, Captain Cook wasn't a captain at the time and he wasn't the first white person, let alone human being, to actually "discover" the country. In fact, Lieutenant James Cook had already set foot on an island somewhere down the coast beforehand, yet 1770 is still pretty famous to this day possibly because of the phenomenal coastal property prices, which have skyrocketed drastically since the millenium. A week was spent swimming, surfing, snorkelling and scuba-diving in the hot hot heat and.. ok I'll shut up and let the pictures do the talking now.
Went to learn surfing for a day with Dad and Crystal... quite an interesting and calorie-consuming experience.
I was stung countless times by those angry, pulsating blobs of purpleness...
Crystal, Me and Mommsy. Then we went to Lady Musgrave Island for a day. It took two hours to get to the island & the surrounding coral reefs by boat, and at least 50% of the travellers on the boat got seasick... not a pretty sight. The time was happily spent with me and my sister laughing (silently) at all the vomiting people around us. Nearly every foot of the island was covered by trees, and it was practically poultry paradise.. there were birds and guano everywhere. The Great Barrier Reef. There are actually many more photos but because my third photobucket account has run out of storage space and picturetrail updates pictures about as fast as time ticks by when getting a root canal, there isn't much chance of me making a vast attempt to find another site to obtain more HTML and create another fun-filled blog with 124 pictures which will freeze all viewers' computers. Hmmm what else.. I'm turning 18 next week and am planning on having three Birthday celebrations: one yum cha lunch with classmates, a BBQ dinner at home with friends and a daytrip to Surfers' Paradise with a group of people. Knowing that I'll be 18 in less than a week's time is a weird feeling.. I guess being an adult will force me to grow up and be waaay more independant, and I only just got used to telling people that I'm 17 and not 16. Okiedokie going to have dinner now- I made dinner for my family for the second time in my life tonight- Quiche. And potato skins on the side covered in sour cream and tomato sauce... mmm how nutritious. Lovelovelove, Midge |
